Nitriding HS6-5-2 Steel in Inductively Coupled Plasma

نویسندگان

چکیده

This article presents research on the possibility of obtaining a hardened surface layer via nitriding in coupled plasma (ICP) for HS6-5-2 steel. The subject investigation was influence process parameters properties obtained layers. layers were characterized using an optical microscope, SEM (Scanning Electron Microscope), EDS (Energy Dispersive Spectroscopy), XRD (X-Ray Diffraction), and microhardness tester. generator power changed gradually from 500 W to 2 kW tests carried out various durations, 15 45 minutes at set pressure. results show nitrided with thickness up 0.1 mm significant increase hardness very short time.

Nanosized precipitates in H13 tool steel low temperature plasma nitriding

A comprehensive study of pulsed nitriding in AISI H13 tool steel at low temperature (400°C) is reported for several durations. X-ray diffraction results reveal that a nitrogen enriched compound (-Fe2-3N, iron nitride) builds up on the surface within the first process hour despite the low process temperature. Beneath the surface, X-ray Wavelength Dispersive Spectroscopy (WDS) in a Scanning Elec...

Laser Ablation Inductively Coupled Plasma

Laser ablation inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry (LA-ICP-MS) is one of the most successful direct solid sampling techniques for major, minor and trace element analysis. However, this technique still suffers from matrix dependent ablation characteristics, which makes quantification very difficult. Furthermore, the laser sampled material alters its composition from the sample to the de...

Microwave assisted digestion coupled with inductively coupled plasma optical emission spectrometry for determining element concentrations in halophytes

Introduction: This study was carried out to determine elements (Li, Na, K, Mg, Ca, Ba, B, Al, Si, V, Cr, Mn, Fe, Co, Ni, Cu, Zn, Se, Ag and P) in the Suaeda vermiculata (S. vermiculata) and Suaeda aegyptiaca (S. aegyptiaca) in three different regions of Southern Iran using inductively coupled plasma optical emission spectrometry (ICP-OES) after microwave-assisted acid digestion. Materials and ...

Plasma abatement of perfluorocompounds in inductively coupled plasma reactors

Perfluorinated compounds ~PFCs!, gases which have large global warming potentials, are widely used in plasma processing for etching and chamber cleaning. Due to underutilization of the feedstock gases or by-product generation, the effluents from plasma tools using these gases typically have large mole fractions of PFCs. The use of plasma burn-boxes located downstream of the plasma chamber has b...
